Local Context

The town of Kalimpong, established on the ridge of Durpin and Deolo hills, along the sides of river Teesta has a unique culture of its own. Comprising the local tribes of Lepcha, Bhutia, Limbu and Nepali, their handicrafts, food, architecture and folklores have also seeped deep into the town.
